Workshops
All workshops will involve hands-on simulations.
Participants are expected to have the program installed on their computers before the workshop begins.
Workshops are open to everyone. Fees apply to non-subscribers for workshops 2 and 3.
All workshops listed are free to all subscribers during this introductory period.
Workshops taking place before Oct. 23, 2026 are open to everyone for free. Space may be limited.

1. Getting started with Sym8.EQ

This workshop will concentrate on getting started on Sym8.EQ simulator.

Subscription Details
(1) Introductory subscription period:
Oct. 12, 2026 until full rate kicks in
Full rate begins when version 1.2 benchmarks (see additional terms) have been met, or April 1, 2027, whichever occurs first

Benefits:
Annual subscriptions started during the introductory period include attendance at three online workshops in the first subscription year and one per subscription year afterward. Subscriptions started after full rate begins include one per subscription year.
Quarterly subscriptions started during the introductory period include attendance at one online workshops per quarter. Switching to annual subscription adds one additional online workshop access.
Quarterly subscriptions started after the introductory period do not include any workshop attendance.
Free public workshops are separate and do not count toward these.
All subscriptions include access to archives of documents, simulation configuration templates, tutorial presentations, and online discussion boards. Only active subscribers are given access to all archives and discussion boards. Non-subscribers have access to limited selection of documents and tutorials.
Additional Terms
(2) Introductory rate lock-in:
First 120 non-educational and 240 educational annual subscribers who subscribe before full rate begins keep their introductory annual rate for three additional years.
Annual subscribers beyond the first 120 non-educational or the first 240 educational slots receive introductory rate during the introductory period.
Fee increase cap:
Annual fee for all introductory-period annual subscribers may increase by no more than 25% of the previous year's fee until the then-current full rate for their plan is reached.
The lock-in rate and cap apply only while the subscription remains continuous; if it lapses for more than thirty days, the then-current full rate for their plan applies on reinstatement.
Educational status:
Educational subscribers who lose educational status (for example, failed validation) move to the standard plan. Introductory-period annual subscribers keep the 25% fee increase cap, so their fee rises by no more than 25% per year until the then-current standard full rate is reached. Educational subscribers who joined after the introductory period receive a one-year extension at the educational rate.
Quarterly subscription:
Quarterly subscribers do not receive lock-in rate discount. A quarterly subscriber who switches to annual plan during the introductory rate period receives the benefits of an annual subscriber starting from the beginning of that quarter, including the possibility of gaining the lock-in rate.
An introductory quarterly subscriber’s fee will jump to full-rate quarterly fee upon renewal after the introductory period ends.
Support:
During the introductory period limited online support is available on first-come, first-served basis without a limit. After full rate begins, each subscription includes a limited support quota per subscription year. Requests are handled in the order received. More expedient support is available at a fixed rate (to be determined).
Free trial and cancellation/refund:
New users can try the program free for 15 days. A subscription can be cancelled within 30 days of payment for a full refund. Refunded subscriptions do not count toward the lock-in limits.
Notice of changing policy:
Changes to rates and service terms will be announced at least 30 days in advance. All introductory lock-in rates and 25% caps will be honored.
